Founding Partner Mark G. Kitrick, Esq. concentrates his practice on municipal law, land use, and labor law. Mark brings nearly 40 years of experience to the table, providing comprehensive legal counsel in a wide range of municipal matters.
Mark’s extensive knowledge and experience enable him to navigate the complexities of municipal law, land use law and intricate state and federal regulations. His proactive approach to legal challenges, working closely with municipal officials to develop effective strategies and promote compliance and transparency, sets him apart. Under his many niches, Mark also has extensive success representing private individuals before land use boards for matters such as property development, variance relief, and site plan approvals.
The breadth of Mark’s experience, coupled with the level of responsiveness, care, and personal attention he provides to clients, distinguishes him in the field, for which he is highly respected by his peers and clients alike. He has helped numerous clients, municipalities and boards achieve success, relying on his knowledge and confident counsel.
Mark’s commitment to serving municipalities and boards is evident in his current role. He is the Borough Attorney for Manasquan, General Counsel for Southeast Monmouth Municipal Utilities Authority, Planning Board Attorney for Avon-by-the-Sea and Neptune Townships, Land Use Board Attorney for Spring Lake Heights and Bradley Beach, and Labor Counsel for Lake Como.
Mark graduated from the Delaware Law School of Widener University and Seton Hall University and received a Municipal Law Diplomate in Raising and Spending Money by Municipalities and Local Government Law in Local Lands and Buildings from the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys. He is admitted to the New Jersey Bar Association, the U.S. District Court District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Prior to founding Kitrick, McWeeney & Wells, LLC, Mark was an associate at Lewis and Wood, Esquires in Manasquan. He formerly served as Co-Chairman of the Civil Practice Committee for the Ocean County Bar Association, member of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, a Trustee for Wall Cares, and spearheaded local organizations that assisted with Hurricane Sandy Relief.
